iPhiTech IT and Digital Solutions Corporation sponsors PSITE-Central Luzon General Assembly
iPhiTech IT and Digital Solutions Corporation, together with VST ECS Philippines Inc., was proud to sponsor the event and support the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators community in Central Luzon. They hope that the new officers, headed by its new President, Jonilo Mababa, will be able to continue the great work that has been done by PSITE in the past and help to promote technology education in the region.

The presentations given by the different speakers at the event were all very informative and offered great insights into the current state of IT education. Mr. Jereck Rei Decena and Mr. Michael Angelo Daquioag discussed the challenges that schools are currently facing when it comes to IT education and suggested some solutions to it. Ms. Elijah Nicole Ruelos talked about TekTeach LMS, which is a platform that they created to help teachers teach their students about pandemics and other global health issues. Ms. Angelica Lei Bautista talked about using gamification principles in education, and how they can be used to help students learn more effectively.
Dr. Jaime DL Caro presented updates on IT Education while Mr. Jemar Jude A. Maranga, CEO, CodeChum, shared innovations in the delivery of programming education for the students to gain advantages in the information technology field. Also, Mr. Perry Alegre talked about different certification programs available for IT professionals and shared some tips on how to pass the evaluation. Lastly, VST-ECS Inc. presented tools and solutions for the transformation of the building blocks in today’s academic setting that are necessary for the future-proofing of investment tomorrow.

All of the presentations were very informative and offered great insights into the current state of IT education. They also showed how educators are innovating and coming up with new ways to teach students in order to prepare them for the challenges that they will face in the post-pandemic world.

The General Assembly and Election of Officers of PSITE Central Luzon was a successful event organized by the PSITE) Central Luzon Chapter, headed by George Granados, PSITE Central Luzon President. The turnout was great and the new officers were elected through a fair process. This assembly was participated by its members from the different IT companies and the academe. Representatives from iPhiTech IT and Digital Solutions Corporation were Mark Enriquez; Jerry Cantilero, Operations Manager; Mark Anthony Madalipay, Continuous Improvement Manager; Lear Adrian Dacanay, HR Manager; Harvey Tuazon, Multimedia Manager; Romy Garcia, Accounting Officer; and Jean Estrada, Web Developer.
