In connection to the Volunteer Ambassador (VAMBA) Externship Programme and its members. They are; Mr. Ariestelo Asilo, Ms. Claire Tatud Everix, Mr. Daniel Distor, Mr. Ronnie Dizon Sodusta and Mr. Jared Jezoar Pacheco. 

In line with this, The Volunteer Ambassador (VAMBA) Externship Programme Batch 2023-A is now accepting applications. This is organized by the Diplomatic League (D-League) in collaboration with the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs (DFA-OUCSCA). 

The VAMBA Externship Programme

The VAMBA Externship Programme, which includes exposure to and practical training in the work of the DFA. This is a minimum of 200 hours of online independent and group work directed by the DFA-OUCSCA and the Host Training Establishment (HTE). 

Specifically, the program includes the following:

• The program is open to individuals who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a minimum general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or its equivalent. Candidates must also have excellent communication skills in both oral and written English and Filipino.
• The program lasts six months, with 200 hours of online work by DFA-OUCSCA and HTE.
• The DFA-OUCSCA trains participants in DFA work: consular affairs, public diplomacy, and protocol services.
• Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the DFA upon finishing the program.
• The program is aimed at providing participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective ambassadors of the country and promote the Philippines’ interests abroad.

The VAMBA Externship Programme Batch 2023-A aims to train and expose individuals to the DFA’s work through an externship program. The program prepares participants to be effective Philippine ambassadors and advocates abroad.
