iPhiTech Supports AmCham North Luzon LGU Door Knock Series – Mabalacat City

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines is one of the oldest and most influential business organizations in the country. AmCham Philippines, established in 1902, has been promoting the interests of its members for a prosperous Philippine economy.

AmCham Philippines acknowledges the vital role of LGUs in promoting inclusive and sustainable growth. LGUs are the frontliners in providing public services, implementing policies, and creating a conducive environment for businesses and investments.

LGU Engagement for Business Opportunities

AmCham Philippines initiated the AmCham North Luzon LGU Door Knock Series to foster ties with LGUs and explore business prospects across regions. This series enables us to connect with city mayors in our current or potential office locations.

Additionally, the inaugural North Luzon LGU Door Knock Series took place on May 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Mayor’s Office of Mabalacat City. With a population of over 300,000 and a strategic location near Clark Freeport Zone and Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Mabalacat City is among Pampanga’s rapidly developing cities.

Highlights of the Meeting

The meeting was an opportunity for us to exchange information, insights, and ideas with the city mayor and the AmCham North Luzon representatives. Some of the highlights of the meeting were:

  • Mayor Garbo discussed the city’s accomplishments and obstacles in sectors like infrastructure, health, education, tourism, agriculture, and the environment. Additionally, he emphasized efforts to enhance business convenience through streamlined processes, reduced fees, and incentives.
  • AmCham North Luzon representatives expressed their appreciation and admiration for the city’s progress and potential. And they also shared their feedback and suggestions on how to further enhance the city’s attractiveness and competitiveness for businesses and investors.
  • The meeting ended with a commitment to maintain regular communication and follow up on the action points agreed upon. 
  • And lastly, we discussed the possible areas of cooperation and partnership with the city mayor and the AmCham North Luzon. This includes promoting trade and investment, supporting local banks industries and providing training. We also discussed skills development and implementing corporate social responsibility programs.
